The Shade Room (TSR) is seeking a dynamic and passionate Intern to join our media company.
This internship offers a comprehensive introduction to the fast-paced world of media and
entertainment, providing hands-on experience in various facets of the industry. As an intern, you will support various content teams. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker, detail-oriented, and eager to learn about media creation and distribution.

Intern Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in writing and proofreading articles and other forms of written content.
• Develop original content ideas that align with the audience interests.
• Conduct research to support content development and fact-checking.
• Collaborate with editors and writers to brainstorm and develop new content ideas.
•  Learn and use company’s style guide and editorial standards.
• Manage and organize editorial calendars.
• Participate in editorial meetings and training sessions.
• Accept and incorporate feedback to improve writing quality and style.
• Manage multiple writing projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Assist in promoting content through various platforms to increase readership.
• Assist various sub-departments with day-to-day tasks and projects as requested.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions.
• Collaborate with team members on ongoing projects, ensuring timely completion.
• Support ongoing projects by assisting with planning, execution, and monitoring.
• Assist in creating content for various platforms — including social media, editorial,
  and production as requested.
• Work closely with team members across different departments.

Qualifications/Skills:

• Interest in learning more about The Shade Room and demographic of audience.
• Ability to ideate and demonstrate creativity in written form.
• Detailed-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to learn and apply new techniques and information.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and adaptability.
• Curious with an eager to learn and grow professionally within the field of online
  media.
• Legal right to work in the US.

Pay: Hourly at minimum of local minimum wage for intern’s state of residence
Location: Remote in the states TSR currently operates in CA, TX, GA, NJ, NY, DC, CA, VA, NC, and FL
Timeline: June 17, 2024 – August 9, 2024
